The Sussex RFU EDI Lead will be working with Clubs to engender and build on current Equality, Diversity & Inclusion activities, by evidencing how the principles of Inclusion and 

Diversity can benefit Rugby in Sussex in terms of, creating sustainable clubs, improved recruitment and retention of players, generating a larger and more diverse club membership and embed the ethos of inclusion and diversity in all aspects of the game.

The RFU Club Developer is responsible for:

Supporting clubs to recruit, train and retain volunteers.

• Assisting clubs to identify opportunities to generate new revenue and improve their facilities.
• Bringing clubs together to share knowledge and create solutions to common challenges or potential opportunities
• Assisting clubs to build relationships with educational establishments and community organisations
• Supporting clubs to increase and diversify their membership.
